Driving Our Future

For the first time in 2 decades Toyota decided to evolve their brandworld including their ubiquitous 3D chrome badge.

Guided by the company’s kaizen philosophy these changes aimed to modernise the brand’s image, improve consistency across digital platforms, and elevate its market perception in the era of electrification and automated driving. I worked as a senior designer as part of dedicated team on exploring, experimenting and developing a new marque and how they it lives in a new refreshed and simplified brandworld. The marque I personally devloped looked at ‘controversially’ touching and joining the top of the elipse to offer more stability and cohesion to the structure however the marque that eventually went ahead reverted to the gap at the top we see today.
